1000 Days

Yesterday we brought our Moses Basket up from the basement to wash it and have it ready for the new baby, and we talked with Sam about how he used to sleep in it. He decided he wanted to try it out again...what a difference 1000 days makes!

In addition to building his school bus at Lowe's, he also built a little race car that he was equally proud of

Building At Lowe's

Every other Saturday at Lowe's they have a program called Build & Grow. This week was the first time Sam participated and the kids were making a school bus. He was in his glory!

He got a whole getup...apron and glasses and everything ;)



After he got his duds he got right to work, and the outcome was great, not to mention really fun.

School Day

Dawn Patrol

We took Sam and Owen to Dawn Patrol, which is a "behind the scenes" look at the Monmouth Park racetrack. It was a pretty neat morning and the kids seemed to enjoy themselves.

One of the first things we saw was the jockey's locker room, which was a cool place that had every "silk" hanging from the ceiling.

At the Library

Our bedroom...finally!

So we've been planning on a new floor in our bedroom since we moved in, and Grandpa has been saying since then that he'd help us but we've been putting it off because we didn't have all the parts...well, turns out a nesting mom can get things moving and so I decided to try.

Two stitches in my thumb later and we have a new floor :) Here are the before and after pics, with our helper.
