We went shoe shopping for Sam (again) at the Vans store at the outlets. He was more interested in the benches :)

Back at the Black

So we got rained out of the U.S. Open on Thursday. Lucky for us the USGA gave us a raincheck and allowed us to go back on Monday for the final round. It was a lot of fun to watch Tiger trying to inch back into contention and to hear the roars and moans as Phil Mickelson and David Duval blew it on 17.

Lucas Glover ended up winning. Here's a great pic of his final putt on 18, taken by USGA photographer John Mummert...

Happy Father's Day

We had a great Father's Day today. Sam gave me some wonderful artwork to hang in my office, where it holds a prominent spot :) We also went to the BlueClaws game in the hopes of staying until the end so that we could go out onto the field and play catch. That part didn't work out very well, but we still had a great time!

Sam got to meet Elmo...and if you ask he will tell you that he touched Elmo's nose, which was a highlight :)



He also got to meet Buster again. We had no idea that he was such a Buster fan, but as you can see from Sam's hands in each of these pics (and his smile here with Buster), the BlueClaws mascot has a new fan.



In addition to meeting Elmo and Buster, we got a few at bats in...



...and some time with mom...

A Soggy Day At The Open

It was a soggy day at the U.S. Open at Bethpage Black today, but Sam got a few souveniers...and dad got to hold the trophy :) No cameras or phones allowed in, so this is all I've got!

Mom had a meeting tonight so Sam and I tried to get ourselves into a little bit of trouble. Seeing that it's been rainy today, we decided to play in the water in the cul-de-sac...

Vacuuming the Car

I was planning on a bikeride tonight but Sam only wanted to vacuum...so we vacuumed! Sam was in heaven and his mom has a clean car. A win-win :)
