Our Christmas

We've had a fun few days :) On Christmas Eve we went to Gram and Ba's house and Santa came to visit on a fire truck (and brought the boys Hess cars)

The kids were stunned that Santa was there, and seemed a little nervous

A few weekends ago we made a gingerbread house...Sam was very proud.

The Dentist!

In addition to playing in the snow yesterday, we also took Sam to his first dentist appointment! He was such a good trooper throughout the whole appointment and came out with a perfect bill of health :)

We've had some crazy weather over the past few days...the remnants of Hurrican Ida. Sam and I went down to the beach to see what was happpening. There was no beach to walk on, but the views were pretty good.

Flip Test

When we ordered FIOS when we moved, we were eligible to get a "Flip" camera as part of a promotion Verizon was having. It came today! Sam, who was not in the greatest of moods, was our test project. The result is:

Ba's Race

We went to LBI this weekend to cheer on Ba as he ran the length of LBI (18 mi!!). He looked strong the whole way, and we were all very proud!



We were at Mile 13, and Sam was in charge of giving Ba his Gu...a job he took very seriously; so much so that he needed Scoop to assist!



As you can see from the big smile, Ba was happy to get his gu!

Powder Room - Before and After

We recently finished our updating of our downstairs half bath...at least as much as we're going to do for the time being. We're leaving the blue tile for the time being, but we've at least made the room a little less blue - no more blue toilet!

Lawn Work

A few weeks ago we put grass seed and fertilizer down to try to grow some grass. It worked, but there were a few patchy spots so we bought some more seed and Sam helped me put it down today, and then he helped me get the sprinkler going :)

Sam turned two today! We threw him a fun "digger truck" party with our families and a few of his friends

Soccer

Saturday was Sam's first day of soccer :) He's a little young for it, but he had a great time. Does it matter that most of his fun was away from the ball??
