Another Haircut

Sam got another haircut today. This time we tried a new place that caters a little more to kids...its chairs are cars, there are toys everywhere, and cartoons played on flat screens in front of the mirrors. All the distractions made for a quick, successful trip. They even let him stay and play for a while after his haircut so he could get used to the place and not be so scared next time.

The Fireman's Fair

We went to the local fireman's fair this week with grammy, grampy, Becky and Owen...it's a fun event with all kinds of rides, lights and noise. Sam was mezmerized by all of the activity!



So was his mom :)

Miami

Our trip to Miami was a lot of fun. Vicky and her husband Dani have a son (Bobby) who is four months younger than Sam. Vicky's brother Bobby and his wife Anna also have a baby (Adrianna) who is the same age...so we were all in the same spot!

The two (well, four) that made our trip possible!

We went on a trip to Florida over the weekend to see Abi's college roommate who was visiting from Spain with her family. It was a fun few days, but an adventure getting there and back. Sam was very curious about the plane. As it turns out, it's very difficult to keep an 11 month old baby sitting still on your lap for 2+ hours!

The Shiny

We went to the Shiny Diner for lunch today and Becky, Maria and Owen joined us for a little while. Sam and Owen had a better time than the rest of us :)

Halloween Shopping

We went to Babies R Us today - they have their halloween costumes out already so we tried one on Sam. What do you think of him as an alien?

Helping (??) with the dishes

Our little guy wanted to do his part to help with the dishes...I think he needs to be just a little bit bigger first!

Great Grandpa Sam

Sam vistited his Great Grandma Evie yesterday and discovered her walker...



turns out he can use it pretty well :)

A Busy Day Hanging With His Peeps

Sam had a busy day hanging out with his friends Jack, Ava, Rosie and Johnny today.

He raced Rosie...



Tuned up Johnny...



Drove by himself...



Swung with Jack...



Played in the yard...



and, of course, rocked out on the mike while Johnny backed him up on the drums!!



Then he came home and had a blast in the bathtub before hitting the sack :)

Dinner with the family

We went to Becky and Rich's last night for dinner with them and Papa and Grandma.

The Zooquarium

While Sam loves being on the beach, he can't soak up the rays all day...he has neither the skin, nor the attention span to hang out for more than two hours so we have to find other fun things to do in the afternoons.

One day we went to a place called the Zooquarium which was a mix of a petting zoo and an aquarium. It was a cute place for him...

Eating, eating, eating

If you haven't been able to tell up until now, Sam loves to eat. He's a great eater and he'll try anything. Some of his favorites...grill cheese, strawberries, watermelon, and pizza!

One night on the Cape we went to a place called Sam's and ate fried seafood. Sam had a grilled cheese and a few french fries...he even liked the malt vinegar!



At Captain Parker's he was a little healthier, as you can see...



and he was very chatty at the dinner table!

Sam is 10 months old today, and enjoying a swim in the pool at our hotel on Cape Cod!

The Baby Beach, Swings, and Ice Cream

This was Sam's idea of a perfect day!!

First, a trip to the baby beach...
