Beach Bum

We went down to the beach for a little while tonight to wind down after the day. As usual, Sam had a blast!

The waves were HUGE as a result, and Sam was mesmerized!

Exhausted!

Sam and I went to the beach and then for ice cream today while mom was out to dinner with some friends. On the way home he fell asleep and did not want to wake up, even for dinner!



He was so tuckered out!

Sam and Owen went to Longstreet Farm at Holmdel Park, which is a working farm with lots of different animals.

Finger Painting

Mom was out at a work function tonight so Sam and I had a boys night in - which meant doing things we wouldn't otherwise be able to do - which meant, in this case, finger painting! It was a little difficult trying to talk, film, and make sure Sam didn't eat the paint...but it was fun :)

Wedding Day

Over the weekend we went to the wedding of some friends of ours. It was a beautiful wedding and a beautiful day.



Fortunately, we were able to take Sam along and he had as good a time as anyone!





But we all had a great time...



But by the end of the day, one of us was a little more tired than the rest!

Rambling Sam

Our baby was on the move today...and his mom got some cute pics of him playing under some chairs...

We took Sam for his first ice cream cone this weekend...



He didn't quite know what to do with it, but he loved it anyway!

Heat Wave!

We're having a heat wave so we went out and bought Sam a little pool to stay cool. He absolutely loved it...some of the best money we've spent in a while!!

First haircut

Sam had his first haircut today because his hair was starting to get into his eyes.

Here's the before picture as he was getting ready...



We took him to an old school barber shop Called Cardner's.



It was a successsful trip, but not one that Sam liked all that much :(





But he looked handsome in the end :)

Turns out that Owen likes Sam a lot better when they're not in the water...or, at least, Owen can be puzzled and slightly amuzed by him and his sqirminess without having to worry about getting soaked!

Electoral College

DemConWatch announced today that they would no longer be tracking delegates to the Democratic Convention because Obama reached the delegate threshold this past Tuesday. Because of that news I have taken down the delegate tracker and replaced it with an electoral college widget to watch as the race between Obama and McCain progresses. Enjoy :)

Our boy is 8 months old today...and so well behaved :)

Crazy Day

Because mom and dad had crazy days, Sam thought he'd jump into the action and be a little crazy too!! This picture sums up the day we all had.

Sam was very serious today as he sat in the shade and waited for the locksmith to come for Abi's car...there is no messing around when there's work to be done!
