Happy New Year to everyone...here are a few fun pics of our boy.
You'd think we have no heat in our house :)
...even though we have a fireplace!
This is our son Sam's website. We thought it would be a great way to keep in touch with far flung family and friends and let everyone watch him grow.

Sam and Santa
Sam got his picture taken with Santa yesterday. He was a little more cheerful than last year, don't you think?

Trip to Massachusetts
We drove up for a quick overnight trip to Massachusetts the Friday after Thanksgiving so we could see my family and Sam could see his cousins. We stay in a hotel with suites and a pool because he's a whirlwind and we need a little space for him to make his messes :)
It was kind of a long ride up, but Sam was able to sleep through some of it...
When we got to the hotel it didn't take long for him to get into the pots and pans provided in the kitchenette...
Then he went for a swim in the pool, which is definitely his favorite part of the hotel...but he was so cold afterwards.
We got him bundled in his new hat and went off to a pizza party at Brian and Johanna's house.
We were able to get all the kids on one couch for a big group photo...this one seems to capture the personalities fairly well...
Then Sam hung out with grandma and ate...and ate...and ate!

Holiday Play
We had a full day with Sam today. He was a busy boy playing at home, then off to Grammy and Grampy's for Thanksgiving where he saw his cousin Owen and his second cousin Sydney.
Working diligently to get his toolbox out and working :) This is a very "Sam" face...
This is my favorite pic that we've taken in a long time...
...and Abi's...
We played outside for a little while too. We're working on getting a hat that fits a little better :)
At Grammy and Grampy's, Sam and Owen practiced their sledding moves...
...but got distracted by the paparazzi...
And all three of Evie's great grandkids were able to sit for a minute or two...long enough to get a really cute pic of them (L-R: Owen, Sydney, Sam)

Lounging Around
We had a pretty quiet weekend this weekend. Sam played around a lot...
...and helped his mom make (and eat!) cookies for a soldier we adopted...

Sam loves trains. Every time we see a train, or hear a train, or drive over train tracks he says "hoo hoo" :) Today we decided to take him on a train ride for the first time. It was a short ride...two stops, but we all had so much fun. Grammy and Grampy came with us, and our friends Mary, Elise, and Matt caught up with us at the middle stop.
Here's the three of us at the train station.
...and Sam and Mom before the train started moving...
He seemed amazed by it all!
...and loved looking outside at everything passing by!
After lunch we waited to return and Sam had fun being silly with Mary, Elise and Matt...
...and walked the platform with Grampy

Toys R Us
We went to Toys R Us tonight and Sam had a field day! The first thing he did was head for the section with the huge stuffed horses. Take a look...

Happy Halloween...from our Lil Stinker!
Today was a big day for Sam. He dressed up as a skunk and went to a big parade at Abi's school, then went trick-or-treating with his cousin and got lots of goodies.
Here he is with his mom...about to get the party started! (You may recall that last year Sam could sit in his little pumkin bag - click here if you may have forgotten)
He may be the cutest skunk around...
After the parade we went back to Aunt Becky and Uncle Rich's house to get ready for trick-or-treating. Tell me these aren't great costumes!
Sam just acted like normal...like he wasn't dressed like a skunk.
...not much to say with this one...
...and then we were off!
Here's one of his first houses...good thing he couldn't spray anyone!
...and here's a little video to show you how it's done :)
