Congratulations to Jaff and Amanda!

We had a really nice (and, unfortunately very quick) trip to Boston to have dinner with Uncle Jaff, Amanda, and Jaff's brother Hydar, while Jaff is home from his job at the embassy in Saudi Arabia. While we were visiting, Jaff and Amanda shared the exciting news that they're engaged!!! We couldn't be happier for them. To top off their romance, they get to spend the first two years of their marriage in Paris, where Jaff will be posted after Saudia Arabia. I hope Sam will get to visit while they're there!

After dinner we had drinks with Abi's friend Dina and a nice breakfast visit with her friend Julie...then we were back in the car for home. All of this made for a great visit, which Sam managed fairly well.

Jaff is back in town so we're heading off for a quick trip to have dinner with him. As you can tell, Sam is looking forward to the trip!

Our First Christmas

We had a wonderful (and hectic) first Christmas. Everyone was extremely generous with their gifts to Sam, which we very much appreciate! The next step is to find room for everything :)

Bonnie and Kev's Babysitting Adventure

Abi and I went to her work holiday party Friday night and Grammy and Grampy agreed to babysit Sam. As you can see, they had their hands full changing him, feeding him, and getting him to sleep :)

Today was a big day for Sam. We took him to the mall so that he could meet Santa for the first time. All was going well as we got in line, but things slowly began deteriorating in the 10 minutes we stood waiting. By the time Sam's turn came he was a little on the uninterested side of things and seemed to want no part in the festivities...good stuff :)

Two Months Old!

Time is really flying by! Today, Sam is 2 months old...seems like just yesterday that we were posting his one month picture. Here he is being very serious with his sign.

We have rarely been in a picture as a family because either Abi or I am usually taking them. At Thanksgiving, the three of us finally made it into a picture together...pardon the exhausted looks!

Hangin' With The Ladies

Great Grandma Evie turned 95 this week and her friends threw her a birthday party. Sam was an invited guest, and got all dressed up for the occasion...



Once there, he was the life of the party, even though he slept the whole time!

It's Election Day!

Sam thought it was important to show his support for a few of our friends who are running in local elections. It being New Jersey, I think we can find a way to get his vote counted :)

Sam's One Month Birthday

Sam went to the doctor again today...he's up to 10 lbs! We had to go out shopping to buy him some new clothes.

Abi put him in his crib for a little while today...



He was wide awake when I got home from work...and maybe even happy to see me :)

Sox Win!!!

The Sox won the Series tonight! Sam slept through the game but it was still very special to hold him in my arms and count down the pitches as Pabelbon struck out Seth Smith to win. I can't wait until I can tell him about it :)

Sam loves his bouncy seat...so we love his bouncy seat!



He hasn't quite realized that it's supposed to be fun...but we'll take it!

Tub Time!

We're able to give Sam a bath in his tub now. He cried when we first put him in, but seemed to really like it. We had to cover him up a little so we didn't get our own showers :)

We had fun watching the game with Sam today...and we're very happy that we'll get to watch a a few more this fall!
